For Small Homes : Arsène Tables and Chairs From Belenus Ltd

As the size of HDB & Condo apartments are getting relatively small today. We are also pretty much restricted in the range of furniture that we could find to fit our home. It’s even tougher to find well attractive and well designed furnishing.

By French designer Guillaume Delvigne and architect Vincent Eschalier, the brand new Arsène range is a symbolic of the pursuit for new archetypes between minimalism and comfort.  The Arsène range of lacquered monochrome wood tables and chairs in kit format is destined for mass-production. It is something that you might want look forward to as it gets distributed.

The moment i saw the pictures, it immediately caught my eye. It would be a perfect fit as a dining table for a small family living in a 4 room flat. The red collection is just outstanding, but what makes it more exciting is that it comes in 6 different colors, black, blue, green, red, white and yellow. The modern chic design and wide range of colours would definitely add more fun and expression to your home.

Home Decor // Forest Shade

In search for a soothing and relax colour theme , Forest Shade ,might be an answer.

Green is the most outstanding color in this combination,  a colour that we see almost every where. Green occupies more space in the spectrum visible to the human eye and is second only to blue as a favorite color. Green is the pervasive color in the natural world that is an ideal backdrop in interior design. The natural greens, from forest to lime, are seen as tranquil and refreshing, with a natural balance of cool and warm undertones. Green is considered the color of peace and ecology.

Complimenting the color of Green in the Forest Shade Theme is the wood element. Having a TV console like this one from Plankliving, gives the natural touch to it’s space. The texture and form of  a wooden furniture will stand out on it’s own.

Lights like the Lucerne Hanging Lamp creates a candle like atmosphere and the Tripod Floor Head Lamp will just enhance a natural but yet adventurous theme.

To make this theme work for your home. Go for a neutral light shade paint for most part of the wall. Balancing your colors and contrast are as important as the money you are about to spend. So plan wisely.

Have fun with the Forest Shade Theme.

Warmth and sophisticated comfort are the words that come to mind when one steps into the show house at Fernvale Road by interior design firm, D’Trenzo. Neatly trimmed with grey brown and white, the living room boasts of Swedish-styled minimalism as seen by the geometrically inspired partition of wood supported with finely finished metal. A small table for 4 sits by a stretch of wall made no less boring with a wooden board set against a pastel grey background, with finishing touches of cone shaped beams of light formed from the halogen lamps above. With condominiums mushrooming all over the city, finding an apartment is not that difficult. But if you’re on the hunt for a penthouse, it gets just a little bit trickier. Even after getting their hands on a condominium penthouse in Geylang, this couple found the apartment needed slightly more tweaking than expected to create their ideal home. The owners are a young Caucasian couple who wanted an open concept, light-filled home.  But they quickly realised that their kitchen was very small. In the end, they decided to break down the walls and extend the kitchen into the dining hall. Read More

The transformation of an old 4-room flat is by all means not an easy task. The preconceived notions of space management and layout often confound the new homeowner and the design elements of the old flat tend to persist into the new one. Luckily for Mr and Mrs. Holmes, David and Melissa from Crescendo Interior and Lifestyle Pte Ltd are on hand to help them meet their needs and develop a home that they can truly call home. One of the first things that the Holmes requested was to allow for the not-cluttered placement of their grand piano while maintaining a separate foyer area near the entrance to the house. A design feature that niftily meets this requirement comes in the form of a swivel partition that acts as a divider, neatly partitioning the foyer area from the rest of the living room. This divider also contributes to the aesthetic appeal of the simple and elegant foyer. Read More
